Virtual Screening of Dementia Man followed by a Q&A with Sam and Susan Simon

We were honored to present a virtual screening of Dementia Man, An Existential Journey, a play written and performed by Sam Simon.

In this powerful performance, Sam revealed his own experience living with cognitive changes and explored questions that can follow a dementia diagnosis. The piece offered an intimate look at both personal and family realities, while also encouraging us to reflect on the challenges of navigating care systems. The audience was given an opportunity to consider how people living with cognitive changes can continue to live meaningful lives with the right support and understanding.

Here are some positive reviews from this event:

  • "Thank you for organizing this opportunity. It was very moving to watch Sam's play and then the Q&A, with family updates! I enjoyed the mixed audience, too. Thank you!"

  • "Just thank you for sharing this brilliant performance and introducing us to the Simons. Working with highly intelligent individuals with cognitive changes has revealed so much to me about how often we may miss these changes in early stages. I look forward to continuing to learn how to strengthen my role as a member of this wider community as a professional and ally."

  • "Fantastic Organization and Mission!"

  • "Thanks for a great event!"

  • "It was very moving"

  • "Interesting format and it's impactful"

Thank you, Sam and Susan, for your incredible work.
